Ducati confirms no GP15 at Sepang I
Ducati Corse general manager Gigi Dall'Igna has confirmed that the all-new 2015 Desmosedici will not be ready for the opening Sepang MotoGP test - as reported by Crash.net in December.
Dall'Igna told the official MotoGP website that an updated 'GP14.3' machine - Ducati finished last season with the GP14.2 - will instead be used to gather last-minute design data at the February 4-7 test.
The GP15 is then set to debut during the second Malaysian outing at the end of February.
One further official test will follow at Losail, venue for the March season-opener, although Ducati - like Suzuki and Aprilia - also has the option of holding private tests with its race riders.
Andrea Iannone is joining the Factory Ducati team this season, alongside countryman Andrea Dovizioso.
