Valencia MotoGP test times - Monday (Final)
Following Sunday's Valencia MotoGP season finale, an official test began at the Spanish circuit on Monday.
The test marks the MotoGP debut for Moto3 runner-up Jack Miller, team-mate Cal Crutchlow's first ride with LCR Honda and Scott Redding's debut on the new Marc VDS Factory Honda.
Stefan Bradl is completing his first laps with Forward Yamaha, Andrea Iannone at the factory Ducati team and Danilo Petrucci at Pramac. The returning Suzuki MotoGP team is also present with 2015 riders Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales.
As well as Miller and Moto2 race winner Vinales, World Superbike stars Eugene Laverty (Aspar) and Loris Baz (Forward) are beginning preparations for their first season of MotoGP.
Miller and Laverty are testing with this year's Honda RCV1000R, with Nicky Hayden and Karel Abraham due to share next year's upgraded RC213V-RS model, raced on Sunday by Hiroshi Aoyama.
Reigning world champion and Sunday's race winner Marc Marquez was not due to test on Monday, having been given a day off by Honda - but returned to the circuit to ride alongside younger brother Alex Marquez! Alex was given the chance to try the RC213V as a reward for winning the Moto3 title for Honda on Sunday. The pair rode together for half an hour.
Monday also saw Marco Melandri return to MotoGP action after four seasons in WSBK.
Testing took place between 12-5pm on Monday, then continues on Tuesday and Wednesday. Jorge Lorenzo led the timesheets for most of the afternoon, with Pol Espargaro briefly featuring at the front.
Ducati wrapped up testing on Monday evening, with their 2015 bike not ready for testing until next February.
