MotoGP Mugello - Free Practice (1) Results
Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso leads opening practice for the Italian MotoGP, making full use of the team's recent private test at Mugello.
Team-mate Andrea Iannone has been diagnosed with a hairline fracture in his elbow - in addition to the dislocated left shoulder - after falling during the test.
Ducati development rider Michele Pirro is competing as a wild-card this weekend, while Aprilia's seamless shift gearbox is making its grand prix debut.
Aleix and Pol Espargaro have both undergone surgery since Le Mans: Aleix for a thumb ligament injury and Pol for arm pump problems.
