Reynolds to ride Suzuki MotoGP machine at Brands
Suzuki has announced that John Reynolds will take to the track aboard a GSV-R MotoGP machine at Brands Hatch for a series of demonstration laps as part of the manufacturer's anniversary celebrations.
The Japanese firm has arranged a number of events to mark its 50 years in motorsport and 25 years of the GSX-R, with the Brands Hatch round of the British Superbike Championship set to be the celebratory pinnacle.
Having already confirmed MotoGP rider Alvaro Bautista will ride the Brands Hatch Grand Prix layout on his GSV-R, Suzuki has now revealed that former BSB Suzuki champion Reynolds will be joining him.
"The GSX-R range is naturally very special to me," said Reynolds, who now acts as Suzuki GB's race director. "I clinched my last championship on one, but it's also the bike I have the fondest memories of. I'm absolutely delighted to be given the honour of riding the GSV-R800 at Brands Hatch for the celebrations and can't wait to put the old leathers back on and lap in front of the crowds again."
BSB alumni Leon Haslam and Sylvain Guintoli will also complete laps of the circuit aboard their World Superbike Alstare-prepared GSX-R1000s.
