Coventry, a regular contender in the Ducati TriOptions Cup and Superstock class, is relishing the opportunity to make his BSB bow and build towards his maiden campaign next year.
“I’m excited to be entering the Superbike championship this coming season and feel it’s a great time to do so,” Coventry said. “Team 64 are a well-established team and with Aaron’s wealth of experience on and off track I feel it will be beneficial for my rookie year in the series.
“It’s going to be a learning year but we have realistic targets which I believe we can achieve. I’ve worked hard for this opportunity and I’m grateful to Aaron and Neil. I can’t wait to start our testing programme and get underway. Thank you to everyone who has enabled me to take this opportunity. Roll on 2019.”
“We are delighted to welcome Sam to the team after spending some time looking for someone young with enough experience behind them,” Zanotti added. “Sam met all the criteria we were looking for and has produced some good results along the way, so we are looking forward to working with him and excited to see if we can help him make his mark in the premier class.”
