The FIA has outlined the new porpoising safety measures that will be put in place for the F1 French Grand Prix.
"I think it’s better to open a conversation than ban him. Because when you ban people you are actually not even helping the situation, you are not talking. You have to communicate and communication is really important."
"I guess we’ll find out. It’s difficult to judge at the moment.
"Historically they have always been really quick here. They are also bringing new parts to the car but it’s way too early to say where they are going to be at.
"I think it’s more important to focus on ourselves and our team to get the most out of the car."
"It’s not up to me to talk to my father in law. Like any of you and say ‘hey man, that’s not correct’. I think he knows that himself."
"Everyone is against racism. It is very straight.
"I think he already said in his statement that he realised he used the wrong words.
"So who am I to then call him? I don’t think it will change anything anyway.
"I think he realised clearly it is not the correct word to use."
"It is all over the world, not only in F1. It is not correct to use those words.
"It starts with education from a young age at home, at schools. You need to be taught that you cannot use these words. That’s what we are working on - F1 and Lewis are working on it.
"All the drivers are behind this. We all support it."

Incredibly powerful words from Lewis Hamilton today
"We push for action.
"There needs to be some accountability.
"What is [the platforms'] goal? We don't need [these voices] anymore.
"To hear it from someone who ultimately believes in the war [between Russia and Ukraine], the killing of millions of people? I can't believe it.
"They have nothing positive to contribute to where we want to go."
"We are not in the best situation with what happened in the past few races.
"We have to focus on our job on the track. We have the car, we have people in the team to win races and win the championship.
"It has become more difficult but it isn't impossible. I still believe in it."
"We are trying to help the world going forwards, to set an example for the next generation.
"It doesn't matter where you come from or what job you do."
"We need to help those who don't have a voice.
"We need to all be united, and fight together."
"There is a lot of negativity. I try not to give that stuff attention.
"In general? Like anything, it is a small, small group of people who are ignorant.
"It is time for us to commit to learning.
"It has been overwhelming to see the support.
"We need to put pressure on social media platforms. They haven't done enough."
"What we are living with in the world is discimination. It is clearly still around us.
"I try to take the high road."
"America has gone backwards.
"Everything happening in the UK has gone backwards.
"People are struggling. We have to pull together."
"I have always tried to take the higher road and be respectful.
"It ties back to - why do we give them a platform?
"They are not with the times. They are not willing to change.
"Microaggression in today's world is not healthy."
"With all due respect, it is crazy to think that with everything going on in the world, this is the focus.
"We have bigger fish to fry.
"We really have to start focusing on more important areas.
"I will race this weekend. I will work with the FIA. The matter is not massive."

"There is a knee-jerk reaction from companies around the world.
"It isn't enough. We have to start acting.
"We should not be giving these people a platform. These old voices.
"Whether it is concscious or subscious that they don't believe people like me should be in motorsport.
"We need, more than ever, we need people to come together.
"It is not helpful - these comments from Piquet.
"They are not really in the sport. They haven't been relevant for decades. But I'm still here, standing strong, pushing for diversity."
"I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me within the sport, particularly the drivers.
"It is two years since we first took a knee. We are still faced by challenges.
"I have been on the receiving end of racism and criticism and negativity and archaic narratives for a long time. It is not particularly new for me.
"It is about the bigger picture. Why do we give these older voices a platform?
"It is not representatives of our sport and where we are. We are looking to grow - in the US and in South Africa.
"We are looking to the future to give younger people a platform who are more representative.
"This isn't about one individual or one use of that term."
"I am happy it was announced so there is no more [rumours] about my future.
"It is still the target to achieve as many podiums as we can.
"I am excited for what is coming."
"It is always nice having upgrades. The work in the background is overwhelming.
"It is always a big push to bring these components to a race, particularly under the circumstances of this year, for example the cost cap."
