F1's two racism issues this week

Nelson Piquet, the ex world champion and father of Max Verstappen's girlfriend, called Lewis Hamilton a word that Brazilian media confirmed was racist.

Piquet apologised but claimed the translation was incorrect, and was not intended to be racist.

Separately, Juri Vips had his contract terminated as Red Bull's test and reserve driver after saying a racist word while live streaming himself playing a video game on social media.

Hitech Grand Prix, his F2 team, have backed him to finish the 2022 season "to redeem himself". F2 have disagreed with that stance.

Just under two hours to go until the press conferences get underway. 

First up in Group 1 is Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, Mick Schumacher, Lando Norris and Sergio Perez. 

In Group 2 will be Guanyu Zhou, Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and Nicholas Latifi.
