HAFFA PROMISES FANS WILL NOT SUFFER.
Formula One fans will not have their enjoyment of the sport sacrificed by the sale of a fifty per cent share of it to German media giant EM.TV, according to its finance director.
Florian Haffa has promised that supporters will receive a better deal out of the partial takeover, which saw EM.TV buy the shares previously held by investment houses Morgan Grenfell and Hellman & Friedman for $1.65billion today.

I dont think they should be afraid of any change, Haffa said, On the contrary, what we have seen with Mr Ecclestone and his operation is that Formula One will be transmitted on television much better than any other comparable event. The fans will not suffer at all.
According to Reuters news agency, EM.TV is currently courting several banks to secure the funds to pay for the purchase.
