Jacques Villeneuve joins GPDA.
Canadian Jacques Villeneuve has finally joined the Grand Prix Drivers Association after becoming increasingly frustrated this season that his views were not being listened to.
The BAR driver said: "I've found that proposals are better made from within than outside. I would like to find out what is going on in the discussions and for my ideas to have a influence."
Villeneuve declined to join the GPDA in 1996 when he arrived in F1 as he felt it would cater only for the drivers interests and not for Formula One.
