Verstappen out in the cold with Schumacher.

Still without a seat sorted for 2003, though he is linked to the two remains race seats at Minardi and Jordan, Jos Verstappen has been feeling the cold of being outside Formula One.

Jos is spending Christmas and the New Year skiing in Norway with his family and friend and member of his management team Raymond Vermeulen. And Norway at this time of year is not especially warm, According to Jos the wind chill temperature is about 35 degrees below zero...

Jos and his wife Sophie has been busying themselves skiing, whilst his children have been preferring the luge to get their kicks.

Jos has also been spending the odd evening with his old team-mate and friend Michael Schumacher. The conversation naturally enough centres on the topic of Formula One. "We chat exhaustively concerning Formula One," Jos tells his official website, "of course we are talking about the changes to the regulations."

No mention yet about what Jos will be doing next year. He was offered a test seat at Ferrari for 2002 though, one that he turned down, as at the time he was offered the seat he had an Arrows contract, and the prospect of a season with Cosworth power ahead of him. That, of course all went horribly wrong, both for Jos, then ironically enough Arrows. With Jos and Michael discussing old times by the fireside might there be another position arising in the Ferrari test team for Verstappen?
