Mercedes launched a fan competition earlier this year to design a new helmet design for Bottas for the upcoming campaign, having come up with a similar opportunity for fans to create a design for Lewis Hamilton in 2017.
In a short video released by Mercedes on Wednesday, the Finn - who finished third in his first year with the German manufacturer last season - showed off his new two-sided fan-inspired concept, which features a mixture of matte black, gloss blue and matte white patterns scattered across the helmet.
Bottas is set to join teammate Hamilton at Silverstone on Thursday to unveil Mercedes’ new 2018 F1 challenger - the W09 - as the team looks to defend both world championship titles heading into the new season.
