Nicholas Latifi insists he is keeping focused on the task on hand in Formula 2 despite increased links to Formula 1.

Lando Norris feels that Formula 2 drivers and teams are being "let down" by recurring issues with the new-spec 2018 car, feeling there is an unpreventable risk of something going wrong on the car every time they go out on-track.

Alexander Albon claimed his maiden Formula 2 pole position for the Azerbaijan feature race, beating championship leader Lando Norris to the fastest time in a red-flagged qualifying session in Baku. 

Mercedes junior George Russell believes the 2018 Formula 2 field is the strongest in the history of the category, saying that as many as 15 drivers are capable of winning races such is the depth of talent on display.
