Derry Munikartono

Joining Crash.net in 2021 as an Editor for the Indonesian Edition, Derry oversees most of the Indonesian articles on the site.

His love for motorsports began at a very young age. Derry cites Michael Schumacher, Valentino Rossi, and Jeff Gordon as his racing idols, with the 1999 Malaysian F1 Grand Prix being the first race he ever watched on television.

Derry got his first break in 2017 when he joined Motorsport.com as a reporter for the Indonesian Edition. Despite having no prior experience in journalism, his adaptability and passion for the racing scene helped him thrive in the role, which he held until early 2019.

Looking for a new challenge, Derry transitioned to a car-focused website as a content writer, where he wrote motorsport, as well car news and occasional car reviews.

At the start of the 2021 season, Derry returned to the world of motorsport, joining Crash.net as a Journalist/Editor for the Indonesian Edition. Since then, he has managed Indonesian articles covering F1, MotoGP, WorldSBK, and more.

He has also traveled several times to Mandalika to cover MotoGP and WorldSBK races. His favorite Mandalika moment was witnessing Toprak Razgatlıoğlu clinch his first World Superbikes title in 2021.

A Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Derry enjoys collecting die-casts, particularly those related to F1 and NASCAR. In his free time, he loves driving his car, playing with off-road RC vehicles, and occasionally racing go-karts for fun. Beyond racing and automotive interests, he is an avid fan of Arsenal and the Dallas Mavericks.
