Matsuda out of hospital.

Injured IRL driver Hideshi Matsuda has been released from hospital following his accident in practice for the Indianapolis 500 last week.

The Japanese racer hit the Turn 3 wall at the Brickyard while attempting to find a set-up to take his Hubbard Immke Dallara through qualifying, and broke his right wrist and left knee in the impact. He underwent surgery on 21 May, but was then detained under observation for a mild concussion.

There is no indication of a return to action for the Kawasaki resident, although his injuries will not prevent a comeback later in the season.
