Paul Tracy - #26 KOOL Honda-Lola-Bridgestone/B>
"We're still learning the Lola, we're okay, but we're not quite there yet. I'm not really happy with the car right now, it doesn't seem to have a lot of grip but from where I'm at in eighth, the gap to second is only one-tenth of a second. Adrian (Fernandez) in first has a five-tenth gap to second place so obviously he's got something right and we need to find that. The whole car just doesn't have the grip I want. It slides. If we can improve that and just gain some grip in the car tomorrow we'll be better. Team KOOL Green hit the nail on the head with the setup in Motegi, but it is a different weekend.
John Anderson, Team KOOL Green race consultant:
"Things seem to be working out with the new Team KOOL Green Lola. We think we've solved the problem with the wheel bearing that we experienced at. Motegi. The big thing today was for the driver and engineer to switch back to the Champ Car mindset as opposed to the IRL cars. "
Dario Franchitti -- #27 KOOL Honda-Reynard-Bridgestone
"We worked on our race setup, and then put on new tires to give us kind of an idea of where we want to be for qualifying tomorrow. I think the hard work is just about to start. We're learning this whole new car and we've spent the day trying to make it go quicker. The Lola definitely has more development potential. It was absolutely marvelous at Mid-Ohio, I was very, very happy with it. It wasn't quite that marvelous this morning to put it diplomatically. We've got to eliminate a bit of understeer in order to get that quick time for Team KOOL Green."
Kyle Moyer, Team KOOL Green Team Manager:
"We had good cars here last year and we had Paul in the KOOL Lola at Motegi which was very good. Coming in here we had pretty high hopes. I think we have a pretty good race car. We haven't got it all evolved but I don't think we need to worry about that right now. We're just trying to get a handle on things. It's not quite where we want it, but it's about 90% where it needs to be. We're going to have to loosen it up a bit for qualifying and with the rain coming we want to put in a good lap time."
