Lamson switches sides.
Steve Lamson has signed a one-year deal with the Team Escondido Cycle Centre [ECC] squad for the 2003 season, according to team manager Mike Craig.
Craig claims that Lamson will compete in the Western Regional 125cc Supercross Series and in the 250cc class at the Eastern Series rounds, and will also compete in the 125cc outdoor National Championship Series.

"Steve signed with us a couple of weeks ago," Craig said, "He'll finish out the 2002 season with Husqvarna, but we want to give him the chance to win a couple of more championships and the one million dollar bonus that we offer."
Team ECC currently uses Suzuki motorcycles, and Craig says he's 80 per cent sure they'll be on Suzukis again next year. Other riders in the team are Robbie Horton, Ryan Morias and Jeff Gibson.
