Honda rider Preston will be joined for both days at Sheffield by Yamaha's Ivan Tedesco, the rider who finished third in the 125cc West Coast series.
Sheffield promoters Future West are also in talks with Mike Brown, a former winner at the venue, and Shae Bentley over a deal to race next month.
Four Canadian riders will be making the trip across the Atlantic to take part in the two-day event. Top of the Canadian entrants is multiple champion Jean-Sebastien Roy who recently posted a sixth place at the competitive Broome Tioga US national motocross championship round.
Fellow Canadian Darcy Lange is ranked second in the US Arenacross Championship and will be joined by the returning Marco Dube who pushed Jeremy McGrath and Mike Brown hard at Sheffield in 2000. Blair Morgan is best known as a snowcross racer but the Canadian has a supercross pedigree and will be out to impress the fans on his first visit to Britain.
And adding to the international flavour are New Zealand's Josh Coppins and Finland's Jussi Vehvelainen. CAS Honda riders Gordon Crockard and Neil Prince are also scheduled to appear at Sheffield. The Albion KTM team of Stephen Sword, Antti Kallonen and Matt Winstanley will be taking part, along with the Dixon Racing Yamaha squad of Billy MacKenzie, Jason Higgs and Jason Dougan.
