Simone Corsi has undergone surgery to plate a broken left arm sustained in Sunday's British Moto2 Grand Prix.

The NGM Forward Racing rider suffered the injury after being collected by Jonas Folger.

During the surgery, that lasted more than 4 hours, doctors also repaired injuries to the extensor tendons of his wrist.

Corsi's recovery time is not yet known but the Italian, currently fifth in the world championship, has been ruled out of the forthcoming Misano round.

Also absent will be TSR's Tetsuta Nagashima, who suffered a broken right leg - plus other injuries - on Saturday at Silverstone.
