2025 Argentina MotoGP: Sprint as it happened
Lap-by-lap updates from the 12-lap sprint at the 2025 MotoGP Argentina Grand Prix
Marc Marquez will make his bid for a second spring win in MotoGP 2025 after topping qualifying at the Argentina Grand Prix for the factory Ducati team.
Topping both sessions at Termas de Rio Hondo on Friday, Marquez comes into Saturday's 12-lap sprint as favourite after setting a new all-time lap record on to take pole.
Alex Marquez will go from second once again on his Gresini Ducati and feels he is closer in pace to his elder brother than he was at the Thai GP.
Completing the front row was LCR Honda's Johann Zarco, who delivered the Japanese marque its first qualifying top three result since the 2023 Italian GP - highlighting just how much progress it has made over the winter with its bike.
Pecco Bagnaia was fourth on the second of the factory team Ducatis and believes he is "ready to fight". KTM's Pedro Acosta and VR46's Fabio Di Giannantonio complete row two.
The sprint begins at 6pm GMT.

Marc Marquez tallies up his second sprint win of the season as he beats Alex Marquez in a tense sprint in Argentina.
Bagnaia completes the podium, with Zarco a fine fourth from Di Giannantonio, Bezzecchi, Morbidelli, Mir and Acosta.

Onto the final lap, Marc Marquez continues to lead with the gap to Alex Marquez staying steady. Bagnaia is third.

He complained in Thailand of the sprint fuel tank working against him, but there will be a major debrief on his side of the garage after this sprint.
