Katoh: I didn't know what happened to Tetsuya...
Daijiro Katoh matched Rossi's performance in the 250s on Sunday, taking his sixth win from eight races in runaway style, despite a mistake that had him off the track at one point.
The Japanese had a great race in the early stages with Tetsuya Harada, who later dropped off the pace with bike problems. All alone, Katoh cracked the lap record, ran off the track, then broke the record again to finish ten seconds ahead of Roberto Rolfo.

Daijiro Katoh matched Rossi's performance in the 250s on Sunday, taking his sixth win from eight races in runaway style, despite a mistake that had him off the track at one point.

"I didn't know what had happened to Tetsuya, just that I had a big lead," said Katoh. "Then I missed a gear into Goddard and ran wide. After that I pushed even harder, my tyres were perfect and I ran my own rhythm."
"At the beginning Harada was leading and I tried to follow him," explained Katoh. "Then I was able to pass him and after few laps I didn't know what happened exactly but watching my Pit board I understood that my advantage over him became bigger and bigger.
"Suddenly the gear didn't go in and I went off the track but I immediately re-joined the race and I could push till the end as my tyres today were just perfect," added Katoh, who was thrown into the air by his team on arriving victorious in the pit lane. "I kept my rhythm and I won again, considering I knew after qualifying that it would not be easy, this success has a special taste for me and for my team."
