MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi will ride a Honda into London's Leicester Square at 3.30pm on Tuesday July 8, where he will meet and greet the public in a special event hosted by BBC presenter Suzi Perry.

Last year, the four-times world champion attracted over 3000 fans to the same venue, in what is now the London-based Italian's home city.

Rossi's appearance will follow a press conference cruise down the Thames, past some of the city's most famous landmarks.

Last year, the four-times world champion attracted over 3000 fans to the same venue, in what is now the London-based Italian's home city.

Rossi's appearance will follow a press conference cruise down the Thames, past some of the city's most famous landmarks.

Three days later the 24-year-old will be taking part in first qualifying for the British Grand Prix at Donington Park.

'Vale' has already won a massive 53 grands prix in his short career and leads this year's MotoGP World Championship after seven rounds.
