On Sunday, Doohan will ride a Manx Norton, which Sheene took to victory in a number of vintage races during the last couple of years, around the Phillip Island circuit to remember the man who, just one year ago, was present at the event.

London-born Sheene, who lived in Australia after retiring from competition, won the 500cc world title in 1976/77 and remains the last British rider to win the 500cc title and a premier class grand prix.
He died of cancer earlier this year at his home in Brisbane.
