Hodgson to Suzuki?

Sources close to Neil Hodgson have told Crash.net that the 2003 World Superbike champion is set to move from his current D'Antin Ducati team and take a factory Suzuki ride for 2005.

Hodgson has been frustrated by an almost total lack of testing and development on his satellite spec Desmosedici GP3 in his debut MotoGP season, and - with a factory Ducati GP ride unlikely - had been linked with a move back to World Superbike with the Bologna based company.

However, leaving the premier-class was always going to be a last resort for the Brit - who has outperformed highly rated team-mate Ruben Xaus of late - and who only last week said that "things look promising for next year."

It is rumoured that Hodgson was offered the Suzuki ride above two other fellow competitors in the premier-class, which he is said to have promptly accepted.

If true, it is unknown which of current Suzuki riders - Kenny Roberts and John Hopkins - Hodgson would join or replace.
