Kallio collects 125cc Catalan pole.

Red Bull KTM rider Mika Kallio claimed his fourth pole position of the season with the fastest lap in final qualifying for tomorrow's 125cc Catalunya Grand Prix.

Kallio set the fastest time in the final seconds, overcoming the challenge of Aprilia rival Mattia Pasini who had held provisional pole yesterday.

The Flying Finn set the pace early in the session with a fast lap and then increased his speed at the end of the session to hold off Pasini, Marco Simoncelli and Lorenzo Zanetti

Red Bull KTM rider Mika Kallio claimed his fourth pole position of the season with the fastest lap in final qualifying for tomorrow's 125cc Catalunya Grand Prix.

Kallio set the fastest time in the final seconds, overcoming the challenge of Aprilia rival Mattia Pasini who had held provisional pole yesterday.

"That was difficult but I'm happy to be on pole after my crash in Mugello last Sunday," said Mika. "In the morning practice the track was in better condition, it was less grippy this afternoon and there was a lot of traffic.

"I still have a small problem with chatter in the fast corners but otherwise the bike was very good. Now we just have to decide on a race tyre, I will not be able to race with the soft tyres I used today."

Thomas L?thi, who holds an eight-point championship advantage over Kallio, qualified tenth fastest.
