Picture: Lizard on track!

This afternoon's qualifying session at Sepang saw some local wildlife make a surprise appearance on track, as a sizable lizard crawled onto one of the high-speed straights during the one hour session.

Unfortunately, the lizard wasn't to last long before it was stuck by Roberto Rolfo's D'Antin Ducati, killing it instantly.

The Italian managed to keep control of his machine despite the flat out impact, while several other riders also escaped unharmed after striking the lifeless creature shortly afterwards - including world champion Valentino Rossi (pictured).
