PICS: Rossi's 16" rear?
During this week's Sepang MotoGP test, world champion Valentino Rossi is believed to have tested with a special 16" rear Michelin tyre (pictured), rather than the usual 16.5", on his factory M1.
Rossi and team-mate Colin Edwards were seeking a solution to recent chatter problems with the new 2006 M1 at Sepang, and it is thought that the alternative tyre size was part of that process.

"We worked very well with Michelin and with one or two new tyres that they brought we made some good improvements to the vibration (chatter)," said Rossi, without making any specific mention of a different tyre size.
Rossi ended the test with the fourth fastest overall time, with Edwards in seventh.
