Jerez postponed in latest MotoGP calendar update

With the coronavirus outbreak yet to be contained in Europe, MotoGP has confirmed that the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez on May 3 has now been officially postponed.
But unlike the previously delayed events – at Buriram, COTA and Termas de Rio Hondo – no new date has yet been assigned.
"The FIM, IRTA and Dorna Sports regret to announce the postponement of the Red Bull Gran Premio de España, which was set to be held at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto from the 1st to the 3rd of May. The ongoing coronavirus outbreak has obliged the event to be rescheduled," read a statement from Dorna.
"As the situation remains in a state of constant evolution, a new date for the Spanish GP cannot be confirmed until it becomes clearer when exactly it will be possible to hold the event. A revised calendar will be published as soon as available."
The 2020 premier-class season-opener (originally set for Qatar on March 8) has thus now been provisionally pushed back until Le Mans on May 17, but the French event is already in discussions about a postponement until at least June.
There are also continued doubts about the final May event, at Mugello in Italy, and persistent rumours list Catalunya on June 7 as the earliest likely start date for the disrupted season...
