Zarco underwent surgery for a fracture to the scaphoid bone in his right wrist on Wednesday, sustained in last Sunday's huge accident with Morbidelli, but hopes to return on Saturday. However, Zarco will need to start the race from pitlane after being penalised for the incident with Morbidelli.
Reigning world champion Marc Marquez is missing his fourth event after breaking his right arm in the MotoGP season opener, and is again replaced by Stefan Bradl.
Francesco Bagnaia, who suffered a fracture to his right tibia at Brno, is replaced by Ducati test rider Michele Pirro for the second time.
