Pfizer to replace Valvoline as Martin's sponsor.

Just weeks after announcing that Valvoline would be discontinuing their sponsorship of Mark Martin after many years of success, Jack Roush named Pfizer Inc as the replacement for the outgoing oil company.

Pfizer's Viagra brand will appear predominantly on the silver and blue machine, as it has this year on the Eel River Pontiac of Mike Bliss. Neither Martin or a spokesperson from the New York based company would comment on the length of the deal but Roush stated originally that a new partner would have to make a long term commitment to the team.

Pfizer Inc launched an innovative new Men's health program earlier this year called the Men's Tune-Up for Life program. The program is aimed at improving most men's knowledge of common medical conditions and diagnosing simply problems quickly and easily. The program was one of the appealing factors that drew Martin and Roush to the deal.

"I am delighted to be driving the Viagra Ford next year and thrilled to have the opportunity to raise awareness of men's health issues through my involvement with Pfizer's Tune-Up for Life program," said the driver on Friday at Daytona where he qualified his Valvoline car fifth.
