POLL: Is Loeb the WRC's greatest ever driver?
So Sebastien Loeb is the WRC champion - again - having wrapped up his seventh straight title with victory on Rally France.
The statistics will show the Citroen driver is the man to beat as far as the World Rally Championship is concerned, but is the Frenchman the greatest driver the WRC has ever seen?
While Loeb is undoubtedly the most talented driver on the stages at the moment, the WRC entry list has declined in recent years with a number of the top stars having left the scene for one reason or another.
Although Loeb has gone head-to-head with the likes of Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz and Marcus Gronholm en-route to his titles, that was at a time when the trio were heading towards the end of their WRC careers - with the gradual decline of manufacturer involvement reducing the number of top drivers appearing alongside Loeb on events around the globe.
Which begs the question, is Loeb the greatest ever WRC driver or just the best of his generation?
A look through the archives of the World Rally Championship shows an impressive list of names who have had their name on the trophy.
Alongside Loeb, the likes of Gronholm, Carlos Sainz, Tommi Makkinen and Juha Kankkunen have multiple titles to their name, while McRae and Burns were two of the quickest and most exciting stars to grace the stages before they were ultimately taken too early.
Further back in time, the early years of the WRC saw the likes of Ari Vatanen, Markku Alen and Walter Rohrl clinch championship honours while few would deny that Henri Toivonen was a champion in waiting before his tragic death in Corsica in 1986.
We've put together a list of twelve of the top drivers to have competed in the WRC and now we want to know what you think. Is Loeb the number one, or does someone else knock the Frenchman from the top of the pile?
