Haydon gets down on one knee.

Foggy Petronas Racing's James Haydon has made a surprise proposal to his girlfriend of nine years, Jo Wybrew, by getting down on one knee (this time without sliders) and asking her to marry him.

The proposal came whilst visiting Haydon's sister during a recent short break to Basle, Switzerland, against the background of a fabulous firework display and street celebrations to commemorate the Swiss National Day.

"I am delighted and very excited about James and I getting married," smiled Jo, after many years of waiting for the question.

Haydon himself added: "We've been together for a long time and have a great friendship as well as relationship. I'm proud that I hadn't had a drink for 'dutch courage' before proposing and Jo also didn't say no which is good!"

The pair have since been busy with plans for their wedding, but Foggy Petronas Racing's heavy forthcoming testing schedule followed by a busy racing season will make finding an ideal date for their wedding difficult - although both stated they would like their big day to be sooner rather than later if possible.
