Donington WSBK milestones.

This weekend sees World Superbikes return to Donington Park for the first time since 2001 - and 20-years after the circuit hosted the first ever WSBK event, in 1988.

Here are some Donington Park milestones between those two dates...

1988: First ever World Superbike Championship event. Roger Burnett sets pole position with a Honda, race one winner is Davide Tardozzi on a Bimota powered by Yamaha and race two winner is Marco Lucchinelli on a Ducati. The event is won on aggregated times by Lucchinelli.
