Ondrej Jezek took victory in Sunday's Superstock 1000 round after a technical problem denied Lorenzo Savadori of a home win.

Savadori, beaten to pole by countryman Fabio Massei but fastest throughout free practice, dejectedly raised his hand and pulled into the pits due to a gear linkage problem on his Pedercini Kawasaki while leading after 8 of 14 laps.

That left Ondrej Jezek with a slim advantage over the fellow Ducati of Massei. The Czech rider just kept his Barni machine out of reach to claim his first ever SSTK win, while Massei celebrated a debut podium.

Jezek's team-mate Leandro Mercado completed the podium and in doing so increased his title lead from three points over Savadori to seven points over Jezek.

Lanusse (Kawasaki), Day (Honda) and Nemeth (Kawasaki) completed the top six, while Briton Kyle Smith crossed the line in 16th after a fall.
