MSS Discovery Kawasaki and Riba step up a gear.

MSS Discovery's Pere Riba is aiming for victory in Sunday's Irish round of the British Supersport Championship as the series resumes with the fifth round, at the Mondello Park circuit near Dublin.

With four solid finishes from the four races so far, Riba sits less than one win away from the lead of the cut and thrust series and the Spanish ace is confident he can reduce that gap in Sunday's race.

"I have raced at Mondello Park before although it was 12 years ago -and it's a circuit I like and it's technical enough for me to be able to find a rhythm, once we have the ZX-6RR working as we want it," reckons Riba.

He continued "I think we've proven already this year the MSS Discovery team, the Metzeler tyres and the new ZX-6RR are all good enough to win this championship."

Riba, third fastest in Friday's free practice at Mondello Park, concluded "We've found a good setting with the ZX-6RR and myself and the team have every reason to believe the rest of the championship will be filled with success."

MSS Discovery team owners Stuart Simmonds and Nick Morgan are looking to the Mondello Park race to signal their intentions of challenging for the 2004 championship crown.

"When we reflect on the opening four races I think we?ve
probably excelled our own expectations." believes Simmonds "We went into this season with a new rider, a new machine and a new team structure. Although it has taken a
little time to settle we're more than happy with what we have achieved so far."

"It's now time to use our experience so far this year and step up a gear. It's a tough environment we're racing in but I really believe we can begin to challenge for wins regularly."
