McGuinness signs up for Moto 1.
British Superbike star and six times Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness is ready for all-comers as he bids to land the Moto1 crown at Donington Park on October 30-31.
"I'm feeling pretty confident about the event but it's really difficult to call as to who will do well in four different events," explains McGuinness, a former Macau Grand Prix winner, 500cc GP rider and 250cc British Champion.
"Trials is one area where I might struggle but the rest of the riders can be assured that I'll be getting some practice beforehand!"

The 32-year-old is also a former schoolboy motocross ace and finished on the podium twice in last winter's national supermoto championship.
"I do have a few worries about the motocross, especially if there are any big jumps involved I'm just an old-fashioned scrambler!" McGuinness concluded.
McGuinness will join 23 other hopefuls, all chasing the inaugural Moto1 title. All will do battle during a hectic two days of competition over four disciplines; road racing, motocross, trials and supermoto.
"It's great having John McGuinness competing in Moto1," says Moto1 Managing Director Robbie Allan. "He's a good all-rounder at road racing but he's also shown he has a lot of talent when he?s competed off-road."
Additional attractions include the final round of the World Stunt Riding championship, a World Long Jump record attempt, freestyle motocross demonstrations, youth trials and motocross, a National Supermoto, two days of road races, a Classic Parade, the 'world famous' Purple Helmets and an extensive trade exhibition.
"We're making our way towards finalising the rider line-up and there are some very exciting names from all disciplines of motorcycle sport," added Allan.
