‘Mind-blowing’ Oulton Park leaves Redding wanting more
Scott Redding says he is ready to ‘dig in’ and build on his encouraging Bennetts British Superbike Championship debut after getting his first tantalising taste of the iconic Oulton Park circuit.
Ex-MotoGP rider Redding qualified on the front row and scored a podium on his much anticipated maiden BSB outing at Silverstone aboard the new Be Wiser Ducati Panigale V4 R, but while pleased to be taking home silverware was otherwise disappointed by the margin to the front.

Nevertheless, Redding is positive the Paul Bird Motorsport squad has made a step forward with the all-new machine following a productive test Oulton Park, scene of this weekend’s Bank Holiday second round.
His first experience of the undulating Cheshire circuit, Redding was certainly impressed by its unique challenge.
“I rode at Oulton Park for the first-time last week and my first impressions were it was crazy as I’ve never ridden anywhere like that in my career! But the more laps I did, the more comfortable I felt and the more I enjoyed it, but it was a mind-blowing experience.
“I was happy with my times; we did lots of laps and we have a good setting for this weekend so now I need to dig in and get some good points on the back of my Silverstone podium.”
