Chloe Jones returns to Junior Supersport series in 2021 with Rich OMG backing
M.R.S Racing and British youngster Chloe Jones will team up for a third consecutive season in 2021 as she competes in the Hel Junior Supersport championship.
It will be the third season for Jones in the championship onboard a Yamaha YZF-R3, however, the rider from Daventry will again be backed by British Superbike team Rich Energy OMG Racing, as part of their #SupportedByOMG programme.
It is a programme that helps to provide financial and technical support to riders and teams with unique racing stories.
“I’m really excited to be part of the #SupportedByOMG programme again for 2021! Last year showed strengths and weaknesses but we know what to improve on going into this season," said Jones.
"Having a British Superbike team like OMG onboard really helps as we’re a family run team, so the advice their mechanics provide on set up is fantastic.
"Also, having the new experience of the BluCru Challenge I really feel is going to maximize my performance! I want to utilise this experience to bring myself to podium pace, and I think this is the perfect year for me to do this with the strength of M.R.S Racing."
The 2020 season saw Jones record her best result to date in the championship which was a P7 at Snetterton.
As Jones eluded to, she will also compete in the Yamaha Motor UK's R3 bLU cRU Challenge alongside her Junior Supersport campaign.
Team owner of Rich Energy OMG Racing, Alan Gardner also said: "Our main aim with the #SupportedByOMG scheme was to help provide a platform for fantastic causes within racing to be promoted.
"Chloe’s racing talent and passion for helping young female riders into our sport is something which we admire greatly within our team. We look forward to seeing Chloe continue to develop and hopefully build on some outstanding results in 2021."
