TAS Racing confirms SYNETIQ as BMW Motorrad title sponsor for third BSB season
TAS Racing has announced that SYNETIQ will continue as title sponsor for BMW Motorrad in the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
The team will once again race under the name ‘SYNETIQ BMW Motorrad Team’, while the extended partnership will bring up three years together.
Team Manager, Philip Neill said: "We pride ourselves in building long term relationships and to extend our partnership with SYNETIQ really is an ideal scenario for TAS Racing.
"On a commercial level our first endeavour was to promote and help increase SYNETIQ brand awareness, and going forward, our goals are to work together with a clear message on the values of sustainability.
"We believe BSB provides the perfect platform from which to deliver this message and we look forward to our third season together in the Championship."
Tom Rumboll, CEO of SYNETIQ also added: "We are delighted to be the headline BSB sponsor for SYNETIQ BMW in 2022. We love the progress the team are making and look forward to working in partnership as the team fulfil their ambitions to be a championship winning team as well as the most sustainable in the paddock."
2021 was the team’s best season thus far after Danny Buchan claimed two wins at Knockhill and five total podiums.
Buchan was also in contention for the BSB title late on, before a double DNF at the penultimate round (Donington Park) resulted in him finishing the Showdown in seventh.
Although not confirmed, Buchan is expected to remain with the BMW Motorrad team, while a decision on whether team-mate in 2021 Andrew Irwin or another rider will line-up alongside Buchan is also yet to be announced.
