Bjorn Estment stays with Powerslide Catfoss Racing Suzuki for 2022 BSB season
Powerslide Catfoss Racing Suzuki and Bjorn Estment will take part in their second BSB season together in 2022.
Estment had his best British Superbike campaign to date in 2021 after claiming five points finishes including a best of 11th.
2022 will be the South African rider’s second full season in the top class - third overall after competing in six rounds (2020) for the same Powerslide Catfoss Racing Suzuki outfit.
Estment added: "I’m really so excited to continue with the Powerslide Catfoss Racing Suzuki team. In all honesty, we had a much more successful year than we had hoped for, and through a lot of hard work and key partnerships, we made our debut season a real success.
"As a rider I feel I improved consistently throughout the season, picking up points on a regular basis and a personal best result of 11th was really something I’m pretty chuffed about.
"A big thanks needs to go to Steve and all at Hawk Racing for guiding us in the right direction throughout the season.
"Also a mega thanks to all the team and my personal sponsors for believing in me and this project.
"The goal for 2022 is pretty simple and straightforward and that is to try continuing where we left off and progress forward step by step as the season takes shape.
"We have a stunning new and improved bike for 2022, so I’m confident we will be able to spring a surprise here and there."
Team Owner Brad Clarke also said: "We had a really positive first season and that has really fired us up now to build on that in the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
"Our association with Hawk Racing is a huge positive and Bjorn is really determined to improve on his results too, so we have a real buzz about next year within the team.
"We will also have the experience of James Ellison within the team, and we will potentially see him back on track too during the season, which will also be really valuable to share his input on track too.
"We are counting down the days until we are back on track, but it definitely cannot come soon enough!"
