IForce BMW unveil three-rider BSB line-up for 2022, led by Dan Linfoot
IForce BMW will have a three-strong rider line-up for the 2022 BSB season after PR Racing agreed to deals with Dan Linfoot, Fraser Rogers and Dan Jones.
Linfoot, who has contested most of his 12 BSB seasons with Honda and Yamaha, returns to BMW machinery for the first time since 2012.
The 2022 season will also be Linfoot’s first on the M 1000 RR machine which goes into its second season of top flight racing.
"I have never ridden the BMW M 1000 RR before and am looking forward to developing the bike and showing the bigger teams our rear wheel," said Linfoot. "I definitely want to be aiming for a regular top ten finish and then a top eight.
"Obviously, I would like to push for the Showdown, I have been there three times before, so I know what is needed to get us there."
Linfoot, who is a three-time top five finisher in the British Superbike championship standings, is joined by Rogers who makes his return to the top class after competing in the 2021 Pirelli National Superstock championship.
Rogers said: "My aim is to push from the off and consistently finish in the points; if we get the balance right, I want to be as close to the Showdown as possible.
"I would like to thank iForce BMW for this opportunity to show what I can do on the big stage, and you can be assured I will give it everything."
Finally, rounding out the team’s line-up is British Superbike rookie Jones who competed in the Quattro Group British Supersport championship (GP2) last season.
"Racing in BSB is just one of my goals and it feels great to have got here," added Jones. "2022 will be a massive learning curve, one I can't wait to get my teeth into."
The addition of Linfoot, Rogers and Jones now takes BMW’s BSB rider participation to eight which is the most of any manufacturer on the grid at present. The others include Peter Hickman and Ryan Vickers (FHO Racing BMW), Andrew Irwin and Danny Buchan (SYNETIQ BMW) and Sam Cox (NP Motorcycles BMW).
