Kiyo is back.
Ryuichi Kiyonari on the HM Plant Honda took a commanding win at round six of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Mallory Park.
The Japanese rider got a superb start from fourth place on the front row of the grid and held onto first place from the moment the lights went out to the chequered flag. Second place went to Leon Haslam on the Airwaves Ducati with his team-mate Gregorio Lavilla in third.

The race was action packed from the off with Glen Richards on the Hydrex Honda crashing out on the start line after high siding and slamming into the track side barriers. It was a big off and he was lucky to walk away from it, thankfully no other riders were taken down in the crash.
Charlies, the new chicane, also caused some chaos as predicted by the riders with Tommy Hill, Steve Plater and Ollie Bridewell all going down in one hit. Plater was spotted walking away with his left arm in a sling and looking very sore. The safety car was deployed for several laps and racing started again in earnest on lap four.
Shane Byrne wasted no time in getting past Michael Rutter at Gerrards as soon as the safety car came in putting Byrne up to third place. Haslam also got past Rutter and proceeded to take Byrne at the hair pin.
Back at the sharp end Kiyo was extending his lead from Johnny Rea with Haslam chasing hard. Lap eight saw Rutter out brake himself and push Harris wide forcing them both to run wide.
With the alteration to the circuit the existing lap record is discounted, however Kiyo set the fastest lap on lap ten with a time of 56.061secs. Lavilla wasn't going to do without a podium finish this weekend and pushed his way under Byrne at Gerrards with a hard and determined move to take third place.
Jon Kirkham continued the crashing, falling at Charlies. Haslam was on the move again and passed Rea into Edwina's for second place, unfortunately for Rea two laps later he crashed out at the Bus Stop. The young Irish rider was distraught as he walked away from his stricken machine. The last crash of the race was Scott Smart and Billy McConnell at Edwina's.
Kiyo was over joyed with his win, his first since the season opener at Brands Hatch. Tommy Hill managed to restart after his lap one spill and finished in twelfth place.
