Q
Which was the best race for you in 2003?
Anthony Reid
The best race for me was the second one of the day at Croft, the one I won!
Q
What was the hardest race for you this season?
Anthony Reid
The first race of the day at Rockingham, which involved a race long battle with the Vauxhalls in probably the most exciting race of the season.
Q
Out of all the tracks you visited in 2003, which track suited the EX261 the best?
Anthony Reid
Three circuits really worked well for the MG this year; Croft, Rockingham and Brands.
Q
How do you think your 2003 team-mates, Warren Hughes and Colin Turkington fared?
Anthony Reid
Both drivers did very well but they didn't score as many points as I did.
Q
How about yourself, both this year and for the future (is there life in the old dog yet?!)
Anthony Reid
MG had a very strong second half of season and proved to be the car to beat on several occasions. On a personal note I believe having come so close to winning the title in the past and with the plans we have for next year's car I can win the title next season in an MG.
I very much hope to continue with MG for 2004 but it depends on their decision concerning their motorsport plans for next year.
Q
What was the most frustrating aspect for you of the 2003 Touring Car season?
Anthony Reid
The most frustrating thing about 2003 was the change of control tyre to Dunlop, which took the early part of the season for the team to adapt the car to the new tyre. The Dunlop proved to be a very good tyre but had a different character to what was used before.
Q
How's your relationship with Yvan Muller been since the Brands bash?Anthony Reid
My relationship with Muller has not changed since Brands, and I am still waiting for him to buy me that drink.
Q
Do you think that the BTCC has the potential to return to its heyday?
Anthony Reid
Undoubtedly. The championship has improved a great deal this year and has produced some great races. With Alan Gow back in the driving seat, the new TV package (which doesn't get better than live coverage on ITV1) and new manufacturers next year looks great.
Q
What have you been doing since the end of the season?
Anthony Reid
I've been busy promoting MG's new products: ZT260 and SV.
