Lucky Crash.net competition winner Louise Huntley enjoyed a once in a lifetime experience after spending a day as an official Team RAC Grid Girl during the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship meeting at Donington Park.

Louise, who won a competition run on the site to celebrate the teams fine start to the 2006 season, was party to behind the scenes access to Team RAC and got the chance to join in the celebrations as Colin Turkington claimed victory in the final race of the day.

As a Team RAC Grid Girl, Louise played an important role in entertaining the crowd and motivating the team, working in the pit lane and taking her place on the start line ahead of both Turkington and team-mate Rob Collard. To cap off a great day she even got to line up in front of the podium on two occasions with Turkington as the ITV cameras were rolling.

"I had an amazing time at Donington as part of Team RAC," Louise said. "The skill of the drivers is unbelievable and it was great to see them just before and after each race to see how they coped with their racing challenges. I loved being in front of the crowd and it would be terrific to be able to do this again someday."

Turkington, who is currently second in the championship standings and has closed to within 22 points of top spot after his win in race three, said Louise had been a welcome addition to the team for the weekend.

"Grid Girls are one of the traditions of motor racing and play an important part in keeping the team relaxed and entertaining the crowd," he said. "Louise was a joy to have around the pit lane and I wish her every success in the future."

Louise also got the thumbs up from RAC marketing director Shaun Meadows for playing an important part in the weekend.

"It is important for RAC to make the sponsorship interactive for the public and bring them closer to our sponsorship," he said, "which initiatives like this are able to do. We are having an extremely good season so far and I thought that Louise did an outstanding job as a Team RAC Grid Girl."
