Chris Stockton made a surprising move into the BTCC in 2006, with his BTC Racing team electing to purchase the ex-SpeedEquipe Lexus cars and run them in the final rounds ahead of a full year in 2007.
With the cars suffering from a number of reliability problems, the decision was taken mid-way through 2008 to switch to SEAT Toledos although bad luck continued for the team despite the pace of the driver.
