Despite finishing fifth at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo, Lewis Hamilton took his first title after passing Timo Glock in the final stages. The Briton gained a crucial point to clinch the Drivers’ Championship and became the youngest driver to do so at 23 years and 300 days old until Sebastian Vettel 2 years later (23 years and 134 days).
