2015 F1 driver numbers
Lewis Hamilton retains his race number of #44 - rather than the world champion's #1 - for 2015 as three rookies join the grid.
The FIA introduced driver numbers in 2014, with each driver being able to select their preferred number for the rest of their career rather than having it allocated to them based on the team's finishing position in the previous year's championship. The world champion gets to choose between having the traditional #1 on their car - with their career number saved for them - or retaining their selected number.
