Formula 1's class of 2018 has completed two weeks of winter testing at Barcelona, with teams and drivers getting their first taste of this year's Halo-shod challengers ahead of the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in less than a fortnight's time.
There were new faces in the shape of rookie drivers Charles Leclerc and Sergey Sirotkin, as well as some old ones including the return of the Alfa Romeo brand in F1 and new Williams reserve driver Robert Kubica, who split testing duties alongside Williams' race drivers, while snow and unusually cold temperatures limited running and disrupted teams' schedules.
Mercedes once again looks in a strong position heading to Melbourne, with reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas racking up a combined 1040 laps, ensuring the Silver Arrows completed the most mileage of any team - 111 laps more than rivals Ferrari, who, along with Red Bull, look best-placed to challenge Mercedes' recent dominance of the sport.
At the other end of the lap charts, Renault-backed McLaren endured a mixed test, while the Woking-based squad's former engine partner Honda enjoyed a promising start to its new works deal with Toro Rosso.
