Lewis Hamilton will have his first opportunity to wrap up the drivers’ title and claim his sixth world title this weekend, though he will need to outscore Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas by 14 points in order to do so.
Mercedes has struggled for performance in recent years at the high-altitude Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, but that has not stopped Hamilton from winning his past two titles at the venue.
When is the Mexican Grand Prix?
The 2019 Mexican Grand Prix takes place on Sunday October 27. The cars will hit the track for the first time with Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2 on Friday, before final practice and qualifying are held on Saturday. The Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez is 4.304kms in length and consists of 17 corners.
