A 1m18.573s for the Spaniard, which puts him 0.4s ahead of Verstappen.
That's soon beaten by Russell, who sets a strong 1m17.998s.
A number of drivers have rejoined the track on a set of softs. This includes Sainz, Russell, Verstappen, Perez and Piastri.
With 23 minutes on the clock, FP1 is back underway in Mexico.

Replays show Albon losing control of his Williams, crashing into Bearman's Ferrari.
Both drivers are out of the session - but it's clearly Albon's fault.
There appears to have been some contact between Albon and Bearman. Awaiting to see a replay.
