How Charles Leclerc outpaced Max Verstappen to win F1 Austrian Grand Prix

Leclerc takes the race lead ahead of Verstappen into Turn 3. An easy move.

Leclerc is now in DRS range of Verstappen for the race lead on Lap 33.

"Why did you put me in this situation? Give me some tyre advantage to them, please. I was in a DRS train. We will not undercut them, so why we stop, I mean... very lazy."

Hamilton overtakes Ocon into Turn 3 for fourth. 

Russell moves up to ninth in the other Mercedes.

Verstappen's lead at the front is only 3.1s now.

Hamilton rejoins in sixth behind Ocon and Stroll.

Leclerc puts in the fastest lap of the race to reduce Verstappen's lead to 4.9s.

Hamilton also makes his pit stop but it's too slow.

Leclerc rejoins in third, 6.8s behind Verstappen ahead.

On Lap 26, Leclerc is in for the hards.

The order on Lap 26: Leclerc, Sainz, Verstappen, Hamilton, Stroll, Ocon, Tsunoda, Magnussen, Norris and Schumacher.

A crazy five-way scrap between Zhou, Magnussen, Alonso, Schumacher and Norris.

Magnussen, Norris, Alonso, Schumacher and Zhou is now the order with the latter pitting. 

Ocon is now up to sixth after overtaking Tsunoda into Turn 3. A solid race from the Frenchman.

Leclerc's lead at the front is up to 4.0 over Sainz.

Verstappen should remain in the lead when the pit stops play out.

The order on Lap 20: Leclerc, Sainz, Verstappen, Hamilton, Stroll, Tsunoda, Zhou, Alonso, Vettel and Ocon.

Hamilton defends from Verstappen into Turn 3 but the Dutchman get through into Turn 4.

Schumacher pits which lets Verstappen through to attack Hamilton.

Verstappen is losing a lot of time behind Schumacher.

Not ideal in his battle with the Ferraris.

Hamilton overtakes the two Haas drivers in quick succession as he moves up to fourth. 

Verstappen rejoins in eighth on the hards, just behind Norris.

Russell pits for a new front wing and he rejoins behind Bottas in 19th. He has also served his penalty.

Leclerc leads the Austrian Grand Prix! What a move from the Ferrari driver into Turn 4.

Sainz is now just 1.4s behind the top two now.
